The Impact: The assistant editor plays a key role in publishing, assigning and writing articles covering a range of topics, including M&A, executive moves, capital markets activity and property transactions.

Responsibilities:      

• Assist in producing clean and concise copy under deadline pressure
• Help shape our coverage by contributing story ideas, vetting news leads and compiling and/or editing daily and weekly features
• Collaborate with editors across the team to monitor news
• Learn the real estate beat, drawing on in-house training tools and other resources
• Coach and mentor team members, where needed

• At least 2-3 years of working experience as a writer or editor

Qualifications:

• Proven record of bring design from concept to production
• Experience with embedded systems, processor selection, various communication protocols
• Strong knowledge in system communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI
• Experience in system design with Ethernet, USB2/3, PCI-E, WIFI, and serial links
• Experience in system power design for low power, high efficiency systems
• Experience in high-speed memory system design, including DDR3, LPDDR3, and LPDDR4
• Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including the ability to design and verify circuits in the analog domain
• Hands-on knowledge on schematic capture and layout
• Signal integrity knowledge is a big plus
• Experience with thermal design/analysis is a plus

Required Skills:

• React Native development experience (minimum 1 year)
• Knowledgable in both iOS and Android development and expert-level in at least one
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Deep understanding of mobile development best-practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers and other developers
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Good written and verbal communication skills
